Boone Power strives to provide clear and competitive electric rates. Our rate structures reflect the actual cost of delivering safe, reliable power and help support long-term system improvements.

For residential customers, a General Service Single Phase rate is common. See below for a breakdown of charges for an average household using 1,200 kWh per month.

Figures below and in the calculator at the bottom of the page have been updated for May 2025 billing statements, with a slight decrease in the wholesale energy charge. This change results in an decrease of about $1.70 per month for the average General Service member using 1,200 kWh per month.

Customer Charge

Monthly charge associated with the recovery of the cost of installing and maintaining the equipment needed to provide service to each member’s location; this charge covers the cost of the infrastructure and labor to maintain reliable and safe electric service.
