Rebates

Boone Power offers rebates to help members save on energy-efficient upgrades like Wi-Fi thermostats, heat pumps, water heaters, and electric vehicle chargers.

Rebates range from $75 to $2,000 depending on the equipment.

Members must install qualifying products within the year and submit applications by the following February.

Energy Efficiency Rebates

Boone REMC residential and commercial members qualify for several energy efficiency rebates through our wholesale power provider’s POWER MOVES® program.

2025 Rebates

For the 2025 incentives below, rebated equipment must be installed and operational on or after January 1, 2025 and on or before December 31, 2025. All applications should be postmarked by February 28, 2026.

Residential Rebates

Water-to-air closed loop ≥ 17.1EER / ≥ 3.6 COP
Water-to-air open loop ≥ 21.1 EER / ≥ 4.1 COP
Water-to-water closed loop ≥ 16.1 EER / ≥ 3.1 COP
Water-to-water open loop ≥ 20.1 EER / ≥ 3.5 COP

Business Rebates

If you decide to build, or to undertake a major renovation, talk to us as soon as you start planning. We can help you choose systems and equipment that are best suited to your project and earn you the biggest incentives—before they start saving you money and energy.

Once you’ve completed your Project Information Form, submit it by email to [email protected].

Corn Cobb E39 Mogul Base (DLC Qualified Only): $10-$45 per lamp
De-Lamping: $.10 per watt reduced
Occupancy Sensors: Up to $30 per sensor
LED Lighting: Up to $250 per fixture
LED Tubes (DLC Qualified Only): $3 – $5 per tube

Air Cooled Unitary Package AC and Split Systems: Up to $75 per ton
Air Source Heat Pumps: $500 per ton
Ground Source Heat Pumps: Up to $750 per ton
VFDs (1-20 HP Motors): $100 per HP
Chillers: Up to $60 per ton
Process VFDs (up to 200 HP): $80 per HP
VFD Screw Air Compressor: $80 per HP
Compressed Air No-Loss Condensate Drain (up to 200 HP): $150 per drain

Lighting Projects: $.05 per kWh for the first year’s kWh savings.
Non-lighting Projects: $.10 per kWh for the first year’s kWh savings.
