Boone REMC is now Boone Power. We've rebranded, but we’re still the same local electric cooperative delivering safe, reliable electricity to Greater Boone County.

Board Districts & Directors

Boone Power is led by a nine-member board of directors.

Directors are elected by members and serve three-year terms. All members of the cooperative can participate each year in our board of directors election.

boone-directors-2025-group

As a member-owned electric cooperative, Boone Power is governed by a board of directors representing the membership districts that make up our service territory. Each year, we hold an election for three of our nine board districts. Each Boone Power member can participate in the annual election of directors.

Nomination Process

Members living in districts up for election and who are interested in running for a board director position must complete the Director Candidate Questionnaire and collect signatures from 3% of the members residing in their board district.

The petition deadline for the 2025 director election was Jan. 31, 2025.
