Youth Outreach

4-H Electric Workshops

Our advisors work with local 4-H’ers by hosting workshops each year to help 4-H Electric participants learn fundamentals of electricity in order to complete their projects. Learn more about the 4-H Electric program through the Boone County Extension Office.

Electric Safety Demonstrations

Our energy advisors provide demonstrations on electrical safety and the science behind electricity for classes or other student groups upon request. Classes also are invited to come to the co-op for tours and to learn about electricity, safety, and co-op careers. If you're interested in scheduling a demonstration or field trip, please contact us here. Through our partnership with the National Energy Foundation, local fourth grade teachers can enroll in our Think! Energy program to help their students learn about electricity generation and energy efficiency.
