A. Primary and/or secondary service extensions (including when the service point [meter base] is not placed as close to the power source as reasonably possible): Where applicable and deemed reasonable and feasible by Boone REMC, primary and secondary service extensions are allowed, subject to applicable contribution-in-aid-of-construction equaling the total cost of construction.
B. Primary and/or secondary service relocations (a relocation of an existing service): Where deemed reasonable and feasible by Boone REMC, a service will be relocated for the member, subject to applicable contribution-in-aid-of-construction equaling the total cost of construction.
Relocation of metering equipment closer to the source of power requires the sale of all facilities previously owned by Boone REMC to the member for the estimated salvage value or an agreed value. Otherwise, removal of such facilities is required at the member’s cost.
C. Primary and/or secondary service upgrade: Where applicable and deemed reasonable and feasible by Boone REMC, a service upgrade to increase service ampacity is allowed, subject to applicable contribution-in-aid-of-construction equaling the total cost of construction.
D. Primary and/or secondary service change (changes from overhead to underground service): Where deemed reasonable and feasible by Boone REMC, a service change from overhead to underground will be done for the convenience of the member, subject to applicable contribution-in-aid-of-construction equaling the total cost of construction.
E. Repairs: The costs for repairs to Boone REMC facilities caused by the member or other party shall be borne by the member or other party at 100% the actual cost of damage.
Fees:
- A permanent connection fee of $700 must be paid before permanent service is furnished.
- The fee for a temporary service shall be $100 where the service is intended to become permanent service. The member must pay the fee before permanent service is furnished. All other temporary services will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
